Why a Blog-umé?

I wanted to create something new, something non-traditional that would showcase my life's professional and personal achievements. I wanted to show more of my personality and character, more than a simple sheet of white all purpose printer paper and some bullet points can.

I came to the conclusion that a Blog-umé would be a great forum to showcase my experiences from the past and give me the ability to keep everyone updated as things develop. Unlike the traditional resumé and cover letter, which can become outdated within a single day, this Blog-umé can be accessed by any potential employer at anytime to find out about my recent activities, projects, volunteering, or employment.

**Please note that this
Blog-umé is currently under construction. I would like to thank you for your patience while I work to bring my Blog-umé up to date**

Dalhousie University BSc Psychology, Class of 2006

At 19 I packed my suitcase and headed off to Halifax NS to attend Dalhousie University, the university I had been dreaming about attending since I was in middle school.

A dentist wanna-be at the time I soon found myself falling in love with the human mind and declared my major in psychology.

I focused in on the behavioural side of life (since actions speak louder than words) and I took courses on such topics as personality, social cognition, abnormal behaviour, forensics and others. Outside of my major I found myself taking such courses as Modern American Culture, Youth Cuture in Canada 1950-1970 and The Creative Process.

From this unusual mix of courses and interests I found myself making links between our cultural consumption, consumerism and how we think, feel and make choices in our everyday lives It was from this connection I decided to continue my studies with a focus on advertising.
